After greeting Fallon with a warm hug, Gutfeld joked, “It brought back memories.”

Fallon was quick to respond with curiosity: “This is hilarious – we’ve met before.
Gutfeld playfully reminded him, “Yes, you have no memory of it… which is understandable, because we were wasted.”

According to Gutfeld, their first encounter happened at an illegal speakeasy in Hell’s Kitchen, owned by their mutual friend Tracy. He described the venue humorously: “It looked like a place where special ops forces waterboard terrorists.”

Fallon’s memory started returning: “I think I remember bringing beer into the bar, and then him charging me for my own beer.”
To which Gutfeld quipped, “That’s Tracy. He’s very cheap, but if you want somebody dead, he’ll do it.”

Wrestling, Cigarettes, and an Unexpected Gesture

Gutfeld recounted how Fallon’s face lit up when they saw each other. Fallon ran towards him and tackled him like “a giant golden retriever”. The playful brawl soon shifted to Fallon wrestling Gutfeld’s friend Andy, with both ending up on the floor.

Lighting a cigarette, Gutfeld watched as Fallon stopped, took it from him, crushed it, and warned: “These things will kill you!”
Gutfeld protested: “Dude, I’m not rich. You’re rich. Cigarettes are expensive in New York City.” Fallon’s expression turned sad, and he walked away – only to return five minutes later with a fresh pack.

Gutfeld laughed, telling Fallon, “That was really sweet. You want me to die.” The audience erupted with laughter as Fallon apologized for tackling him.

The segment wrapped with Gutfeld affirming, “It was all very good-natured, and it was a great memory. I’m so glad I finally got to tell you!
Fallon smiled, “I’m so happy… I remember. All the details you said are correct.”

Aside from the comedic exchange, the two also discussed Gutfeld’s FOX Nation game show “What Did I Miss?” and his path to hosting Gutfeld! and The Five.
